HVAC for New Construction

Getting the HVAC right in a new build is much easier than fixing it after the fact.

Done Right from the Start

Baptist Heating & Air works with builders and homeowners on new construction projects across Central Indiana. We've seen what happens when HVAC is treated as an afterthought — comfort problems that are expensive to fix once the walls are up, ductwork that wasn't designed for the home's actual layout, and equipment that's the wrong size from day one.

Getting us involved early means you won't have those problems.

What We Handle

  • Manual J load calculations and proper equipment sizing
  • Ductwork design and installation
  • Equipment selection — American Standard, with 10-year parts warranty
  • Complete system installation and commissioning
  • System testing and documentation
  • Coordination with other trades
  • Warranty registration from day one

Why Sizing Matters More Than You Think

An oversized system short-cycles — blasting on at 100% and shutting off before a full run cycle. This causes uneven temperatures, high humidity in summer, more wear on the equipment, and higher energy bills. An undersized system struggles on extreme days. The right size is calculated, not guessed.

We perform Manual J load calculations on every new construction project — accounting for square footage, ceiling height, insulation, window area and orientation, and the local Indianapolis climate.

New construction tax credits: Qualifying new systems may be eligible for federal tax credits of up to $2,000. We provide all manufacturer certification documentation. See details →
