Rob is the grandson of Myron Horton (Horton's Welding Service, south-side Indianapolis) and Robert Wiggington (Union Ironworker). Both were perfectionists, mechanics, carpenters, gardeners — they could fix about anything. One was a staunch Republican, the other a staunch Democrat, and they drew the good stuff out of each other. One saved everything; the other shared everything. That's the background this business comes from.
Rob personally oversees every job Baptist Heating & Air takes on. The faith identity isn't incidental — we believe our work is a reflection of our character before God and our community, and that shapes what we won't do: sell something you don't need, tell you a system is dead when it isn't, or send someone to your home who hasn't been background-checked.
Our technicians don't work on commission. They're paid for their skill and service, not their sales numbers.
Companies exist for the benefit of their community, not just for profit. There was a day when the milkman took an elder's trash out, when buyer's remorse wasn't routine. We try to operate that way: show up when we say we will, do the work right, don't leave until it's done.
When other companies tell a customer their system is "shot," we give them options based on a systematic approach instead of opinion. We stray from the grey.

We've partnered with local churches on food drives, prayed for customers through difficult seasons, and tried to be the kind of business that makes the neighborhood better.
