The system uses electronic filtration combined with a permanent washable cell to capture particles down to 0.1 micron in size. That's roughly 1,000 times smaller than a human hair — and small enough to catch the particles other filters miss entirely. Specifically:
AccuClean uses three stages of filtration. First, a pre-filter catches the larger particles. Then the air passes through an ionization chamber that gives every particle an electrical charge. Finally, the charged particles are pulled to a collector cell with the opposite charge — like a magnet. Even the smallest particles get caught because they can't slip past charged plates.
A portable HEPA filter only cleans the air in one room. AccuClean is installed in your HVAC system, so every cubic foot of air that circulates through your home gets cleaned every time the blower runs. That's the entire house — not just the room where the portable unit happens to be sitting.
